Damn. It's been a looong time since I've updated this.. but, I finally decided to get around to posting a news update to let all you fans out there know I'm still alive. I'll probably be throwing a ton of more shit on this site... what I'm really hoping for is that I get some more user feedback - as in, have people on the outside send me in some articles and reviews for me to post on here. If you send me something I like, I'll post it here and accredit it to you, because I'm cool like that. I'm trying to get the word out about my little site, because I feel that since I'm right about everything, my opinions should be heard. Clap back, son. So, at LEAST give me some article ideas, because once I get a good topic I can ramble on for a long time. So give me a kick in the ass to get my project rolling.

Also, you may have noticed that the dreaded ads have returned.. Lycos/Tripod decided to change their ad codes to be XHTML compliant, so I can no longer mask them unless I find out another way, which I'm sure there is.. I just don't know it. I don't have the money to pay for a premium service, but oh well. Meh. I'm out until next update, which will hopefully be soon. Peace.

News Update, December 1st of 2004 - 10:51:53 PM
So check it out, I've converted all of the pages of the site (except like 3 or 4 that I might have forgotten about) 100% into XHTML. You'll also notice that those gay ads at the top and bottom of the page are gone - told you it'd serve us both better. For some reason, setting the doctype on these pages screwed with the ad code somehow, since I guess they weren't designed to be compliant with XHTML. Kickass. In either case, the site's fully updated, and I figured I'd tell y'all that.

In side news, I'll be formatting my hard drive soon, but I rarely update this site anymore anyway because I don't get any god damn free time. But, probably after I flush the hard drive and start anew, I'll start putting files for download in the Downloadables section. And, since I've been steadily learning more and more HTML/XHTML code, and more ways to make a page better, expect a total layout re-vamp pretty soon. With interactive CGI forms and all that fancy jazz. The future is tomorrow!

Oh and one more thing.. if I do in fact, get that laptop with Centrino wireless internet like I've been asking for, I'll be able to use my home PC as a server and use the laptop to control it -- FROM ANYWHERE -- which would allow me to get my own domain instead of stupid bandwidthwhore tripod. ZEE BANDWIDTH IS MEIN! -_- aight I'm outta here, peace out until next time. Also in case you're blind, I've experimented with table headers, and I found one that I thought to be particularly nice, so I kept it and I'll be making all the older news into this format when I get the chance.

News Update, November 25th of 2004 - 7:39:15 PM
Holy shit. It's been 2 months since I've done anything with this page. As of late, I've been doing nothing but working my freaking ass off and then going out after work, so I've had no time for anything - that includes this here website. But, since it's Thanksgiving, and I have nothing to do at all, I figured I'd get an update on my site because I haven't done one in exactly 2 months. Like whoa. In any case, today's update includes the removal of the "Weblog Journal" section, as I'm sure no one gave a crap about that (including myself), and replaced it with a "Downloadables" section, which I'm sure everyone gives a crap about. When it's set up fully, it'll include media files (sound clips, funny videos, etc), file downloads (you'll find out), and whatever else I feel like putting in there. In any other case, expect any updates to be sparing and uncommon, but when they come - they'll kick ass. Trust me. I'll probably have a few more articles coming out pretty soon, since at the moment that's my pride and joy. And I still have yet to see a fucking user-submitted article or review! GET TO WORK YOU INGRATES! Gosh.

On a side note, I'll probably be switching formats of the site when I get done my studying. I've been learning XHTML, CSS, CGI (perl), and I'm going to start DHTML. So, expect the site to get better, with like a mini-forum or comments section to be soon. Woohoo! And related to this subject - about 3 hours after posting this update, I went through all of the pages in the site, cleaning out unused tags (I placed font tags and font closing tags where I totally didn't need them), and I've converted this page of the site (none of the others yet) to XHTML Transitional 1.0. Not really any different, but it's better for the both of us. Trust me. :D

**UPDATE:** new article.

News Update, September 25th of 2004 - 6:18:32 PM
FINALLY, I made a really newbie banner for this site. It's only on the main page, but hey - it's better than nothing. I think it looks kind of cool, it blends into the main page really well. I hope photobucket.com is cool with bandwidth usage, cuz I've got a lot of pictures up in there. If this site actually gets popular, which it won't, I'll be whoring out Tripod AND photobucket. And I know Tripod is ZEE BANDWIDTH WHORE! so, I can't expect much from there. But other than that, all I did was add in the banner. Figured I'd let you know, because I like making an update for EVERY LITTLE THING I DO on this site ;D Suck it up!

News Update, September 23rd of 2004 - 5:22:24 PM
It's update time, once again! Nothing really major, I just came to the realization that I'm fucking STUPID and I've been doing my nav bar totally wrong (code wise). I've converted it now to a table, and this is the code:

Fairly simple coding, which is all I can do because I suck with HTML. But either way, I still kick ass at life, so there ain't no stoppin' this show.

I also made it on each page so that on the nav bar, when you're on a certain page, that part of the nav bar is not a link, and it's font size 2 and bold text. It's the coolest thing I could come up with since I suck so bad at coding. Someday, I'll make like a banner for the site, and I'll find some way to wrap around that stupid fucking ad. Gotta encompass it somewhere. Oh well, minor setback.

In other news, I've decided I should hop on the bandwagon more often, so I signed up for "My Space"! Because everyone else in my God damned town has one of these. Here's the link to it. Ahh, it's wonderful being a bandwagoneer! XD ~ Oh well, s'all good in the end. Expect more articles and probably VG reviews to be up soon, but THERE'D BE MORE CONTENT ON THIS SITE IF YOU, THE READERS, WOULD START SUBMITTING SHIT TO ME -_- That's what I'm looking for, user input. To know that I'm loved. IT'S ALL I WANT :( Oh well, enough of that. I'm out this biatch, I got shit to do.

News Update, September 18th of 2004 - 10:42:12 PM
Booyakasha! HUGE update today. I finished off 3 movie reviews, wrote up some articles, and went through all the pages AGAIN sprucing everything up. You'll now notice that the file extension for the pages is .html instead of .htm. That really means nothing, except for the fact that I changed the file name for all of my pages, because I thought .html is hella cooler than .htm could ever hope to be. Shiggity-scwha!

Also, I ask that if one of my Articles pisses you off, that you cordially shut the fuck up, because as you might have guessed - HA! I don't care. See the care on my face? Probably not since you can't see my face. Eat it! ;D

Also at some point in time, I'm going to FINALLY do another weblog post, since there's actually something going on in my life! Oh my PHREAKIN' God. Well, I'll let you wait for that with bated breath, as I'm sure all of you need to know what goes on in my life at every waking second. ^_^ Peace, see ya's when I see ya's.

Edit: I'm still waiting on some article suggestions, or actual articles/reviews, from you - the loyal fans. Now, submit motherfucks!

News Update, September 14th of 2004 - 10:17:44 PM
Time for another update informing! Just a minor update here, I've gone through the site's layout once again and changed a few things at the request of my polish homeboy Piotr (or peter, w/e). The color of links are now dark orange, visited links are now white, and active links are now standard orange. I decided to change this because Piotr pointed out to me that, and I quote:

"A general web design knowledge is that a page is to have 3 main colors. Yours has 4."

And I'm thinking like "4 wtf is he talking about.. I've got blue black gray, what the crap?" and he's like ORANGE DAMMIT and I'm like oh. Well fuck! So, at his discretion, I've made the links a bit of a darker orange, and the tagline of each page a regular orange (same color as the active links). Purple didn't fit well in that color scheme, so I went with white for the visited links. I also slapped in some CSS to have it so that links don't have an underline, but when you hover the mouse over them, they do. Cool, no? =D

And to finish off the update, I threw in a few more pictures of my childhood homeboy (a- since the age of-a 3), Kyle Jacobs. He's at Coastal Carolina right now, and these pictures contain his uhh.. "adventures" with his new buddies down there. He fit in pretty quick, innit? That's mah boi right there. Already all friendly-friend with good lookin' girls. You bastard, Kyle. If you're reading this, I'm jealous as FUCK. But you probably already knew that. Motherfucker. Oh well, I'll live. I guess. I'm gonna bounce out the hizzat now, because my air conditioner is going fuckin' CRAZY and I need to shut this shit off. And when I say CRAZY, motherfucka I mean CRAZY. Like, you don't even KNOW, dude.

Peace! I'll see ya's when I see ya's.

News Update, September 13th of 2004 - 10:24:05 PM
Holla! 'nother update. I've added the Navigation bar to all of the pages on the site, with the exception of the How The Scores Work page on the VG reviews section. I'm also going to do a review on the new Resident Evil movie I saw over the weekend, and I also plan on writing one up for Reservoir Dogs, of which I had just seen tonight with my homeboy Alex. Also, I've asked my cousin Matt to do the site's first non-Dave review, on Final Fantasy - Crystal Chronicles, so hopefully that'll be up and around pretty soon. Expect the next update to be a big one! I also want to start cranking out some articles, cuz that might end up becoming the beef and bulk of the site since I like to attract attention by conflicting with other people's opinions. Because they're all wrong, and damn it.. if I'm not right.. then you can kiss my ass, because I don't give a fuck! ;D

Other than that, I've basically been asking all of my closer friends to write up reviews or articles for me to help get this site running. I plan on having this as much more of an interactive site (with the exception of a forum. Do I look like I can write PHP? No. Shut the hell up. -_-), where the users will actually be listened to, unless you're a fuckhead in which case I'll just ignore you. But if your article or review truly kicks ass and I like it, then it'll go on the site and your name will be placed here. BOOM! Immortalized. =D So please, visit the Contact page and drop me some writing! USER FEEDBACK PLZ THX OMFG.

I'm also trying to get a cool-looking banner for the site, too. If anyone out there feels like designing me one, maybe I'll hold a competition. The winner gets uhh.. iunno, free sex? eh, whatev. I'll get around to it sometime, and I need to work on my CSS so I can make things even cooler up in here. This site's too.. plain. Oh well, good enough for me. Fuck it! I'm up outta here, see ya's next update!

News Update, September 10th of 2004 - 1:52:12 PM
All right! Decent-sized update today, I added a whole new main page, called Dave's Faves. It's a page that contains links to my favorite websites, which I expect to become some of YOUR favorite websites because those sites kick ass.

I also included a How the Scores Work page for the Video Game reviews, and I also made a game review for Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time. It's not a high-quality review, mainly because I haven't played it in like a month and I forgot all the names. If they even had any names. Usually I remember stuff like that. But eh, what are ya gonna do. I spent a little more time going through all the pages and making things as good-looking as possible (to my standards at least), and I need to re-make the Picture pages because I didn't put them in their own directory, and now I can't edit them unless I go to ridiculous lengths. So, expect this hizzat to be fully operational, chock full of reviews and shit in at least 2 weeks. I'm also expecting help with articles and reviews from some of you guys, and if you want to submit some pictures for the shenanigans OR the funny section, feel free. Just e-mail e-mail e-mail!

That's it for this update, I've got to get the hell out of here. Peace!

The Zypher Zone is nearing operational status. I've gotten the Contacts, About the Creator, and Picture pages all set up (picture section is half empty though), and I'm still writing out articles and reviews. As you well know, you, the reader, can submit an article if you well please - see the Contact page. I've also gone through the site coding and optimized everything as best as possible for the best possible look, and I'm going to be implementing a banner soon, despite how I don't think it will look good at ALL with the stupid freaking ads on the page. I don't even bother having text in my header, because the ad code cuts the page in half. Annoying, but it's the cost of having a free site. If I ever get a credit card, I'll move this to an ad-free, higher-bandwidth hosting level. But for now.. I'll settle with free. Go check out the pictures that I uploaded onto the site, they're quite good. Gogogogogo haul some ass!

Aight I'm outta here, Until next update!
